You see, in the fall of 2008, I was well into my 26th year as a financial planner and investment advisor for dozens of clients scattered throughout the United States. Wall Street giant Bear Stearns was gone, the product of a cozy Wall Street-US Treasury deal to supposedly save the country while certainly lining the pockets of the folks who run Morgan Stanley. Lehman Brothers had just fallen. The U.S. government said it was to protect the integrity of our financial system. Just as likely, probably, Lehman's collapse was orchestrated by and for the money moguls of Goldman Sachs — both those running the company and those who were then running the U.S. Treasury.

New outrages occurred almost daily, but that was only from my vantage point as an advisor to average American families. When I spoke with a professional money manager who had been working for a large, trillion-dollar money management firm for 30 years, he assured me that things were much worse than that. He said that things he thought he would never see were now happening on an hourly basis.

So at 10:47 a.m. on Tuesday, September 16th, I sent a long email I had written to my investment clients. It's title was I'm as mad as hell, and I'm not going to take this anymore!

Over the next two years I put the energy from my anger into extensively researching the nature of America's founding. I studied American history in more depth than I'd dreamed possible.

Out of that study came an understanding and deep appreciation for America. I rediscovered that this country truly is

AMERICA the EXCEPTIONAL

With this research in hand, I wrote a book, AMERICA the EXCEPTIONAL, which is scheduled for publication in the winter of 2011.

In AMERICA the EXCEPTIONAL I lay out what I call the Four Stages of American Exceptionalism:

1. Born in 1776
2. A century of Progress
3. A century of Regressive Decline
4. The 21st Century Rebirth

We are just now emerging from Stage 3, a century during which Regressives⁽¹⁾ dominated our political class three times in the 1900's and again in the early 21st century with the Obama administration.

This website is about the 4th Stage, The 21st Century Rebirth. In my book I talk about the steps needed for ordinary citizens, just like myself, to take back our country from the Regressives.

We the People can succeed. The 2010 elections proved that.

But we have only taken the first steps in the long stuggle to restore our first principles:

• Individual Liberty
• Limited Government
• Economic Freedom

Notes:
(1) I use the term Regressives to refer to those who now call themselves Progressives. Their centrally controlled, elite-run big government policies are certainly not progressive. They surely regress to the backward days of monarchs, nobles and serfs, when rights were granted by rulers, rather than inalienably granted by God and guaranteed by a written constitution.
